Amy's journey into filmmaking grew from a background in visual arts and communication, blending creativity with storytelling. She discovered the world of film while homeschooling her son Aiden, whose experience with extreme dyslexia led them to learn side by side. Inspired by his passion, she encouraged him and a filmmaker friend to collaborate on the documentary Cue Card Girl, which she produced. The film was selected and screened at the Denver Film Festival. That experience led to further collaborations on two short films directed by Nate Starkey—Monday Night at the Blue Guitar and December 26th - A Humbug Hangover. Most recently, Amy directed and edited High Roller, a documentary that reflects her love of unexpected stories and creative reinvention.
